Deep within me
Life’s crawling and wasting my days
Another night gone and I know there will be another way
I’m leading myself to be free
In this eternal goodbye.. ~ Lacuna Coil

Farewell false love, the oracle of lies,
A mortal foe and enemy to rest,
An envious boy, from whom all cares arise,
A bastard vile, a beast with rage possessed,
A way of error, a temple full of treason,
In all effects contrary unto reason.
A poisoned serpent covered all with flowers,
Mother of sighs, and murderer of repose,
A sea of sorrows whence are drawn such showers
As moisture lend to every grief that grows;
A school of guile, a net of deep deceit,
A gilded hook that holds a poisoned bait.
A fortress foiled, which reason did defend,
A siren song, a fever of the mind,
A maze wherein affection finds no end,
A raging cloud that runs before the wind,
A substance like the shadow of the sun,
A goal of grief for which the wisest run.
A quenchless fire, a nurse of trembling fear,
A path that leads to peril and mishap,
A true retreat of sorrow and despair,
An idle boy that sleeps in pleasure's lap,
A deep mistrust of that which certain seems,
A hope of that which reason doubtful deems.
Sith then thy trains my younger years betrayed, since
And for my faith ingratitude I find;
And sith repentance hath my wrongs bewrayed, revealed
Whose course was ever contrary to kind: nature
False love, desire, and beauty frail, adieu.
Dead is the root whence all these fancies grew.
Sir Walter Raleigh

Forlorn, My Love, No Comfort Near
Air-"Let me in this ae night."
Forlorn, my Love, no comfort near,
Far, far from thee, I wander here;
Far, far from thee, the fate severe,
At which I most repine, Love.
O wert thou, Love, but near me!
But near, near, near me,
How kindly thou wouldst cheer me,
And mingle sighs with mine, Love.
Around me scowls a wintry sky,
Blasting each bud of hope and joy;
And shelter, shade, nor home have I;
Save in these arms of thine, Love.
Cold, alter'd friendship's cruel part,
To poison Fortune's ruthless dart-
Let me not break thy faithful heart,
And say that fate is mine, Love.
But, dreary tho' the moments fleet,
O let me think we yet shall meet;
That only ray of solace sweet,
Can on thy Chloris shine, Love!
O wert thou

I cannot even express how thrilled I am to find out that Keith Lo Bue has finally joined us in the land of blogging!! Possibly, we will soon discover what makes this man tick~ like I have mentioned many times before..."he's brilliant, one of the Greats' of our time" When I stumbled upon his world a few years ago, it changed my life forever. Through his work I discovered this incredible realm of altered art, and I am forever grateful to him.
I invite you to check out his new blog Stuffsmith and his amazing website
Here are a few pieces of his art that I have the honor of owning~
This is photo of Keith & I at Artfest at vendor night, he was wearing his "famous" attire...the kilt, big cozy sweater with this amazing cologne that could knock you off your feet. I think it was called "B Men"? In this photo he is also wearing for the last time, the piece "What Is Not Forbidden " which I bought that weekend. My favorite creation by Keith~ When I brought the piece back to the bed & breakfast I stayed at, the cologne had seeped into the leather on the back of the piece & the fragrance flooded my room, it was a bit eery, in a good way. ~
