wow.....do I have something to share! As you can see from my earlier posts I happened to stumble across PIF (pass it forward) on etsy, where you give something away & then the receiver is to list a PIF in their etsy store, or with my listings just an Act of Kindness to someone is sufficient enough ;) anyways, I listed a couple things & they went instantly, then I called a few friends & sent a couple emails & cross blogged to some of my other sites, so let's just say...I was spreading the word about PIF, I think it is a beautiful idea, the thought of doing something special for someone. (not that I don't do nice things for people;) Well...it wasn't anything major, just something fun & inspiring~
Earlier today I was at the market & there was someone in front of me paying for his goodies, we small talked a bit & he mentioned I must have a hungry bunch at home ;) I laughed & agreed, I proceeded to put my groceries on the counter...the man went his merry way, nothing more was said, then when I came to pay for my groceries, the lady said I owed a very small amount, I looked at her, she said the gentleman ahead of you left this hundred dollars for your groceries! I was in shock~ trying to hold back the tears....I looked for the older man who had just hobbled out the store he was no where to be seen~ how precious of him to do that for a stranger!! God bless his sweet soul!! I am going to pay for someone's groceries someday ;)
Later when I was home, I was making some phone calls to pay some bills, I call my son's orthodontist Dr. Hamilton & spoke with Shari in billing, she proceeds to tell me...Dr Hamilton has paid off the rest of your bill~ I couldn't believe my ears! I said.. you mean this months' payment? No the entire bill~ I said, but that's over a thousand dollars!! she said I know, it has to do with something he heard, that your family did for someone, he was obviously touched by what you had done, he wanted to do this for you~ Ahhh jeez I start balling my eyes out & can't even speak for the rest of the conversation that she was sharing with me. The last thing she says is PAY IT FORWARD!! what a coincidence...no I don't think so..I believe in miracles!!
I don't usually write much in my blogs, but I really felt the need to share this, to encourage & inspire you, that even small acts of kindness, that you don't think are a big deal, can make a huge difference for someone else~ xo!!
